DAY 1: Your trip to Japan begins with your arrival at Tokyo. Our representative shall be present at the airport to welcome you and shall escort you to the hotel in Tokyo. Check-in at the hotel and relax for the evening to start with an exciting tour the next day. [D]
DAY 2: Start your day early today, as you will be exploring Tokyo's significant historical, religious and political landmarks. Visit the Buddhist temple of Sensoji, the oldest and most important temple in Tokyo, with its 55-metre high pagoda. See the Imperial Palace, where the emperor and his family still live in the western part of the grounds. We get to witness the beauty of Cherry blossoms at Tokyo's largest park covering an area of approx. 58 hectares, combining Japanese and French gardens - Shinjuku Gyoen. There are 75 varieties and 1500 cherry blossoms. Walk through the gates of Meiji Shrine, which is one of the most famous Shinto shrines in Tokyo. In the evening, proceed for an immersive digital art experience. [B,L,D]
DAY 3: Have an early breakfast as today we will be visiting Mount Fuji. A trip to Japan is incomplete if it doesn’t include a visit to the UNESCO-listed sacred mountain of Mt. Fuji. Drive to Mt Fuji’s 5th Station, located about halfway up the mountain. Proceed to the serene Lake Ashi for a short cruise across the lake. Hop on the ropeway that lifts off from the shores of the lake Ashi and takes you up in an enclosed cabin with 360-degree views. Spend some time at the top to enjoy the captivating views of lake Ashi and Mt. Fuji. Later, check-in at a Ryokan, a Japanese-style inn and enjoy the evening at leisure. [B,L,D]
DAY 4: In the morning, you shall be transferred to the station to board a train for Kyoto from Odawara. On arrival, proceed to the hotel. Evening would be at leisure for you to enjoy a stroll in Kyoto’s most charming historical area that is known for its tea houses, restaurants and eatery shops. You can visit the Nishiki Market, and Pontocho area which are famous for their street food including yakitori, handmade noodle dishes, grilled meat skewers and also local sake (rice wine). [B,L,D]
DAY 5: Walk through the sprawling Arashiyama Bamboo Grove. Walk through the paths that cut through the bamboo groves and cross the Togetsukyo Bridge, which embodies the dynamic relationship of Japanese art and aesthetic. Visit the famous Zen temple - Kinkakuji temple also known as the 'Golden Pavilion' as the top two floors are covered in gold leaf. This temple was built to echo the extravagant Kitayama culture that developed in the wealthy aristocratic circles of Kyoto during Yoshimitsu's times. Each floor of this temple represents a different style of architecture. Visit Kiyomizudera temple, which is famous for its wooden stage that juts out from its main hall, 13 meters above the hillside. It is a popular spot in Kyoto for viewing the Cherry blossoms. We will also visit the Fushimi Inari Shrine, which is home to over 10,000 red tori gates and was used as a location for the movie 'Memoirs of a Geisha'. [B,L,D]
DAY 6: Have a leisurely morning. Today, you will experience an interactive cooking session and learn how to make the famous Japanese cuisine - Sushi. You will get to learn about the ingredients as well as the cooking tools and techniques used to prepare sushi. Participate in preparing Sushi under the guidance of an experienced chef. Visit the Samurai and Ninja museum. You may try on a Samurai Armor and get pictures dressed as a Samurai. Learn about the history of Ninjas and what kind of weapons and tools they used for their covert missions. Witness a traditional Japanese Tea Ceremony and also a performance by a Geisha or Maiko. Geisha and apprentice Geisha called Maiko, train for years to perfect the traditional Japanese arts. [B,L,D]
DAY 7: Leave Kyoto and proceed to visit a large park of Nara. Visit the ancient temple complex of Todaji, the Nara National Museum and the most celebrated shrine - Kasuga Taisha. You will see deer freely roaming in the park. Visit one of the most famous imperial and ancient Buddhist temples in Japan - Yakushi-ji. In the evening, drive to Osaka and check-in at the hotel. DAY 8: Today, we will visit the Shitennoji temple, one of Japan's oldest temples founded in 593 Spend some time strolling through Dotonbori Street with its huge billboards, hundreds of restaurants and food stalls selling local foods. Take a stroll around the Kuromon Market that dates back to the Edo Period. Enjoy the magnificent view of Osaka from the Floating Garden Observatory deck. [B,L,D]
DAY 9: Enjoy a lovely breakfast in the morning before visiting the Osaka Castle, dating back to almost 450 years. Enjoy the rest of the day at leisure to explore the city on your own. You may participate in various activities which are available for direct payment. You may choose to delve into the rich tradition of Kendo, experiencing the art of Japanese martial arts firsthand, or dive into the graceful world of Calligraphy in an immersive workshop or you may also opt to indulge in a spa session. DAY 10: Bid farewell to your fellow travel companions as today you shall be transferred to the international airport, to board your flight back home. [B]
