DAY 1: Arrival at Tokyo airport and transfer to Tokyo hotel. Indulge in some perfectly grilled yakitori skewers washed down with a local beer or some fine sake.
DAY 2: In the morning, take a walk around the famous Tsukiji Outer Market, where fresh seafood from the city’s largest wholesale fish market is delivered and ready to sample. Learn the art of sushi making- Japan's most famous culinary gift to the world. Gain knowledge of the history of sushi, how to choose the freshest fish, proper slicing, rice making techniques, etc. Take a stop by the city’s oldest temple - Senso-ji which was founded almost 1400 years ago when Tokyo was just a fishing village. For desserts, visit Asakusa to try fried sweet potatoes tossed in sugar & soy or sweet red bean paste, sandwiched between baked pancake batter. In the evening, enjoy one of Tokyo's most traditional dishes – monjayaki. Your food tour of Japan is incomplete if you haven’t tried this type of savoury pancake.
DAY 3: Hop on a bullet train to go to the 17th century charming Edo town of Takayama, famous for its traditional streetscapes, sake breweries and the special Hida wagyu beef. On arrival, visit the nearby Hida Folk Village, which is an outdoor museum where the traditional thatched-roof architecture has been put on display. Gain insights on the techniques used to build farmhouses as each house is its own self-contained museum, displaying personal items & traditional tools. In the evening, enjoy some regional Takayama delicacies for dinner.
DAY 4: Today, explore the local markets which have been around for about 600 years and check-out the stalls of seasonal produce and popular regional dishes, including local pickles, bags of miso wrapped in leaves, genkotsu ame, mitarashi dango, houba miso, chuka soba and delicious marshmallow treat of owara tamaten, etc. Later, board on a local train for a short ride to the neighbouring town of Hida-Furukawa and enjoy the relaxed pace and picturesque tree-lined canals. A Japan Food tour is not incomplete if it doesn’t include a visit to a local sake brewery. Learn about the sake-making process. Return to Takayama for dinner and sample some more iconic dishes.
DAY 5: Board the train to Kanazawa. On arrival, enjoy a guided visit to 17th-century Kenroku-en Garden, a highly intricate landscaped acreage of bridges, fountains, ponds, waterfalls and tea houses. Enjoy a sip of freshly whisked matcha tea while walking through the extensive grounds of the garden. In the evening, Sample some of the delicious regional food found especially fresh sea-foods.
DAY 6: Today, proceed to explore the Omicho Market, where all quality food producers gather to trade. There are also a number of restaurants in the market serving rice bowls or sushi. Later, enjoy an express train journey to the third-largest city and unofficial culinary capital of Japan - Osaka. On arrival, stroll around the Dotombori district and sample some street foods.
DAY 7: Begin your day with a visit to the lively Kuromon food market and wander through the quirky Doguyasuji Arcade, while shopping for kitchen gadgets, Japanese bowls, etc. Dive into a depachika, a food basement hall of one of the departmental stores offering endless range of products. To make your food tour to Japan more fun and entertaining, try your hand at making and perfecting takoyaki or noodles. In the evening, take a walk around the twisting back alleys to experience one of city’s typical tachinomi bars.
DAY 8: Early morning, board a train for Shingon Buddhism to visit Koya-san, a centre for religious activities for over 1200 years. Visit the mausoleum of Kobo Daishi, Okuno-in. Enjoy staying in one of the many temple lodgings here with Buddhist monks while following their routine of evening meditation and morning prayers. A visit to Koya-san on a Japan food tour is not complete if you have not tried the monastic cuisine - shojin ryori, prepared by novice monks.
DAY 9: Proceed for 4.5 hours journey to Kyoto, the cultural heart of Japan. On arrival, take a guide walk through the glass-covered walkway of Nishiki Market. Explore a range of Kyoto's regional specialties like pickled vegetables hidden beneath layers of fermented rice, ornate Kyo-wagashi as well as a renowned hand-crafted knife shop. Later, stroll through the narrow streets of city’s charming Gion district and learn about the city’s geisha culture. You might spot one (geisha) or an apprentice geisha in their elaborate dress and makeup. You may opt to sample some of Kyoto's trademark cuisine in the evening.
DAY 10: In the morning, experience the simple joy of preparing obanzai ryori in a cooking class and enjoy it for lunch. You must try your hands in cooking at least a Japanese dish on a Japan food tour. Later, you may opt to stroll around the local markets or enjoy theatrical shows of Noh, Kabuki or Bunraku puppetry, or a traditional maiko dance. In the evening, you may try some local specialty - yudofu hotpot.
DAY 11: Today, explore the culture, traditions and history behind tea, learn about the long-lived customs surrounding this brew and discover the difference between the varieties of green teas. Attend a private ceremony with a long-time practitioner of this art and learn about the importance of the preparation and cleaning of tea utensils. Explore the rest of the day explore the ancient city on your own.
DAY 12: Depart for the international airport to board flight back home.

. Quote is usually based on 2 persons sharing 1 room, unless quote is requested for a single person. Single room supplements are available on request.
. A completed booking form, deposit payment, scanned copy of valid passport, international return flight ticket, visa/visa approval, vaccination certificate & travel insurance will be required to confirm the booking.
· Quote will not be applicable during Christmas/New Year period or any other festivals in the country. It can change depending upon the hotels’ policies & new season rates, festive supplements, changes in taxation norms, transportation rates, government regulations, guide charges, monument entrances & currency exchange rate fluctuations.
· All reservations must be made atleast 120 days in advance depending on the destinations involved and are subject to availability at the time of booking (including experiences which might be altered on different days), once the advance payment is received at our end.
· All rooms are provided as twin sharing and non-smoking unless requested otherwise.
· Reservations can be made with 50% advance and balance is payable 90 days before departure from home country. In case of bookings made within 90 days before date of arrival, 100% advance is required.
· We prefer payments through bank/wire transfers. Payment can be transferred into Alluring Tour’s business account as per the details shared while booking. Amount quoted does not include any bank charges payable to your bank or any intermediary bank that your bank might use. For payments by credit cards, a surcharge of upto 5% is applicable, depending on the norms of the third-party channel processing the payment.
· As per the standard norms followed in most countries, the reserved vehicle is booked and paid for 8 hrs. & 80 kms. in a day. ’At Leisure’ means vehicle will not be available for use.
· Protocols related to COVID-19 (or similar disease or a contagious health condition), need to be followed as per the destination & regulations. While we always keep each guests’ comfort & safety at priority, we also have a moral and social obligation to keep everyone around them safe and hence all impacted guest/s must agree to isolate until tested negative for condition/s. They will be required to make separate arrangements at their own expense for quarantine for a minimum of seven days or more as per doctor’s advice. We may have to cancel their remaining tour and unfortunately it would not be feasible to refund any amount for their tour. In case the guest/s choose to act on their own accord & refuse to follow the quarantine/isolation protocol, they accept responsibility for all associated risks.
· Please note that the booked hotel may or may not have arrangements for quarantine and hence we are bound to follow their policies if they are unable to accommodate reservation in case of a guest/s testing positive for Covid-19(or similar disease or a contagious health condition), considering safety of their guests and staff. They may recommend hospitalization or moving to another hotel that offers quarantine facilities and it would be subject to availability at that time.
· Alluring Tours Limited reserves the right to refuse services or refunds in case any false information is provided, or important information is withheld by guests/tour leader or if either of these parties refuse to co-operate considering safety and well-being of all parties involved in providing the booked services.
· Alluring Tours Limited reserves the right to make changes in the itinerary at any point in time considering the guest/s’ comfort, safety, unforeseen/emergency circumstances, closure of monuments, security restrictions & government orders.
· Any cancellations are to be sent by email. Penalties largely depend on the hotel policies being followed in the country. A cancellation charge of USD 200 is applicable per person. Cancellations made upto 75 days before arrival will attract a penalty of 50% of the tour price & Alluring Tours reserves the right to decide upon the mode of refund or issue a credit note as feasible under the specific circumstances. Cancellations made within 74 days before the date of arrival will result in forfeiture of full tour price. All reservations are non-transferrable. Bookings made under special offers/discounts are non-refundable and non-amendable. Accommodation in peak season, guide services, transport, meals, government taxes etc. are mostly prepaid and thus non-refundable (including non-utilized services). Tickets for most flights, train, safaris, ferry, events etc. are non-refundable and hence refund is not feasible in case of cancellations for whatsoever reason. For any re-bookings or alterations, additional charges may apply.
· By booking the tour with Alluring Tours Limited, one acknowledges the risk and hazards of travel that they/tour leader/associate/representative may encounter. All travelers accept the responsibility for themselves & thus they/all successors/all associates/representatives/legal representatives and related parties waive any & all claims for acts or omissions against Alluring Tours Limited, its owners/directors, successors, all associates, representatives & third parties involved in providing the services, for any liability, costs, damages, expenses (including attorney’s fees) arising from or attributable to any claims or actions arising on account of your travel with Alluring Tours Limited & associated parties. All travelers and their successors/associates/representatives/legal representatives agree that this Assumption of Risk and Release of Liability statement shall be legally binding upon them/all successors/representatives/all associates/legal representatives & all minors under the age of 18 traveling with them. All disputes & settlements shall be subject to a Jurisdiction as selected by Alluring Tours Limited.
· Acceptance of the above-mentioned terms is to be signed at the end of Guest Reservation Form.
