See the Imperial Palace, where the Emperor and his family reside in the western part of the grounds. Evening will be at leisure to explore the bustling Shinjuku or the Anime scene at Akihabara.
DAY 3: Enjoy an early breakfast, as today you’ll visit the UNESCO-listed Mount Fuji area and take in the stunning scenery of its surrounding landscapes. Board your private vehicle for a scenic drive to one of the best Fuji viewpoints, offering breathtaking vistas of Japan’s iconic mountain. Experience the Hakone Ropeway, boarding an enclosed cabin that provides sweeping 360-degree views as you ascend above valleys and forested slopes. At the summit, take time to appreciate the panoramic views of Lake Ashi and Mount Fuji (weather permitting), capturing the quiet grandeur of the surroundings. Continue to the peaceful Lake Ashi for a short cruise across its calm waters. From the boat, admire the reflections of the mountains, including Mount Komagatake, as Mount Fuji rises majestically in the background.
DAY 4: Almost all Japan tour packages include a ride on the bullet train. Proceed to board a high-speed train to your next destination – Kyoto. On arrival in Kyoto, proceed with your drive to your hotel. Evening will be at leisure. However, you may choose to take a stroll on your own through the lantern-lit lanes, take in the charm of city’s traditional facades, and feel the pulse of popular dining spots. You may opt to sample freshly grilled yakitori and slurp regional specialties in local restaurants where locals gather after dusk.
DAY 5: The city of Kyoto is an important part of this Japan tour package as it is rich in both history and culture. Wander through the tranquil Arashiyama Bamboo Grove, where towering green stalks sway gently above serene pathways, and take in the views from the iconic Togetsukyo Bridge, which is a symbol of natural harmony and Japanese aesthetics. Another highlight of Kyoto’s cultural landscape is the stunning Kinkaku-ji or Golden Pavilion, a celebrated Zen temple adorned with gold leaf on its upper floors, beautifully reflecting in the surrounding pool. Each level showcases a distinct architectural style. Take a peaceful walk through its meticulously landscaped gardens, adorned with ponds, moss, and seasonal greenery. Visit Kiyomizu-dera Temple, famous for its wooden stage that juts out from the main hall, 13 meters above the hillside, offering stunning views of Kyoto. Fushimi Inari is the most important of all shrines dedicated to Inari, the Shinto God. Thousands of vibrant vermilion torii gates straddle a network of trails that lead to the sacred Mount Inari. DAY 6: Today, after a leisurely breakfast, proceed to the train station to board your train for the next destination - Hiroshima. On arrival, check-in at the hotel and enjoy the evening at leisure.
DAY 7: Post breakfast, visit the Hiroshima Peace Memorial Park. This park is dedicated to the legacy of Hiroshima as the first city in the world to suffer a nuclear attack and to the memories of the bomb's direct and indirect victims. Here, you'll find the Hiroshima Prefectural Industrial Promotion Hall, now known as the Atomic Bomb Dome, one of the few buildings that survived the devastating atomic bombing on August 6, 1945. Next, visit the Hiroshima Peace Memorial Museum to gain a deeper understanding of the bombing. The museum features poignant artifacts from the time of the explosion and offers various educational exhibits that provide insight into this significant event.
DAY 8: Board a bullet train to Osaka and check-in at your hotel. Enjoy rest of the day will be at leisure.
DAY 9: Visit Osaka Castle, dating back almost 450 years. One of Japan’s most iconic landmarks, the castle played a major role in the unification of Japan during the 16th century. Visit Shitenno-ji Temple, one of Japan’s oldest temples, founded in 593, and the first ever built by the state. Take a stroll around Kuromon Market, which dates back to the Edo Period. The market has about 150 shops that predominantly sell fish, meat, and produce, along with shops offering traditional sweets, clothing, and household goods. Visit the Floating Garden Observatory at the top of the Umeda Sky Building, 173 meters above ground level. The Umeda Sky Building is an imposing, futuristic landmark consisting of two separate towers joined together by a ring-like observation deck, to enjoy magnificent views of Osaka.
DAY 10: Nagasaki is one of the most important cities of this Japan tour package. Post breakfast, drive to the airport to board a flight for the historic port city of Nagasaki, a place where Japanese tradition meets centuries of international influence. On arrival, check-in at your hotel and spend the evening at leisure.
DAY 11: Your tour begins at Nagasaki Peace Park, where the striking Peace Statue serves as a profound reminder of the city’s enduring message of hope and reconciliation. Continue to the Atomic Bomb Museum, where exhibits and personal accounts chronicle the events of August 9, 1945, and the remarkable resilience of its people. Wander through the charming Glover Garden, a hillside open-air museum dotted with beautifully preserved 19th-century Western-style residences, offering sweeping vistas over Nagasaki Harbor. Kofukuji Temple is the oldest and one of the most important Chinese-founded temples in Nagasaki. It is the birthplace of the Obaku school of Zen Buddhism in Japan and was established around 1620 by a Chinese monk at a time when large numbers of Chinese merchants were coming to Nagasaki to trade. the construction is heavily influenced by Chinese architectural styles, making it feel different to other temples in Japan.
DAY 12: Proceed to the airport as per your scheduled flight departure time and return with some beautiful memories.
